La Luna Mining - Coal
Energy Industry
The underground mining project "La Luna" is strategically located in Cesar, where 50% of the Colombian commercialized Coal comes. Next to major exporters of Cesar with more than 50 MT per year. La Luna´s location takes advantage of the closeness with "La Ruta del Sol" and "FENOCO - Rail Road Corridor" adding direct routes to the port of Santa Marta, giving strategic access to best established logistical infrastructure. La Luna´s mine design will allow coal extraction without affecting the surface, having no effect on the landscape, rivers, or surface waters. This project is certified by the Colombian government as a Project of National Interest and Strategic Value (PINES).
